This wheel thrown, pit fired pot has a black, white, grey, red and orange design created by the atmosphere in the firing process. The orange stroke of color has a light texture to it and there is noticeable mica in the clay body that sparkles in the light. To protect and finish the ware a thin wax coating was applied after firing. This piece is decorative only and should not get wet.
